Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa deems that food waste in hospitality industry and food service is avoidable and controllable meanwhile, renewable energy sources is determined to lower the greenhouse emissions and reduce the use of chemical. Projects such as Effective Microorganism (EM), biogas and composting are initiated to create green jobs, a use of biogas (which is made from garbage) in cooking, natural composting and bio extract from food wastes inside the hotel, for instance. A successful story is contributed by a strong cooperation from our staff. Every staff is given a lesson on how to classify and identify wastes and also attends a class of reducing, reusing, and recycling trash.
