British footballer Emile Heskey at Santhiya Resort
On June the 1st 2014 Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa recently welcomed the legendary British footballer, Emile Heskey who has played for Newcastle, Leicester City, Liverpool, Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic, and Aston Villa. He has been in Thailand for the last week on his honeymoon following his marriage to Chantelle Tagoe.

While on Heskey’s private six-night stay the executive director, Komjet Chantaravisoot said:

“We are honored that Emile and Chantelle entrusted us to take care of them on their honeymoon, and for Koh Phangan and our legendary Thai hospitality to play such an important part in their wedding celebrations. They are a very sweet couple, and our staff was very impressed with their down-to-earth character.” 

The newlyweds stayed in the Santhiya Royal Grand Pool Villa Suite which is the resorts top category room, nestled into a forested hillside, the two-bedroom villa with a total area of 197 sq.m. features a romantic open-air shower and bathtub, and a private swimming pool overlooking tranquil Tong Nai Pan Bay.

 

During the couples stay Heskey and his wife relaxed at the resort and indulged in traditional Thai massage treatments at the ocean side Ayurvana Spa, which the football star said was one of the highlights of their honeymoon. They also took a Thai cooking class at the resort along with a chartered private speedboat to explain the islands of Koh Tao and Koh Nangyuan.

In addition to Emile Heskey, the resort has previously hosted other famous guests including German singer Joey Heindle and Hollywood star Emma Watson.
