Q. How to get to Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa?

There are 5 regional airline carriers that will take you to Phuket to go to Koh Yao Yai at the moment. These are Bangkok Airways, Thai Airways, Air Asia, Orient Thai and Nok Air coming from Bangkok or to any regional airports in Thailand that flies directly to Phuket Airport.

This is the 1st step for you to get to Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa since this is the only closest airport to reach Yao Yai Island.

Once you have arrived at Phuket International Airport, Santhiya Guest Ambassadors will welcome you at the airport and will take you by Santhiya Van to Ao Po Grand Marina Pier which will take approximately 15-30 minutes (depend on traffic on that day). Ao Po Grand Marina Pier is where Santhiya private speedboat is waiting to take you for a 20 minutes boat ride to Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa.

Please highly take note that we have on May – October: 3 rounds per day

Departure from Phuket Ao Po Grand Marina: 11.00 hrs. / 13.00 hrs. / 16.00 hrs.

Departure from Santhiya: at 10.00 hrs. / 12.00 hrs. / 15.00 hrs.

On November – April : 5 rounds per day

Departure from Phuket Ao Po Grand Marina: at 11.00 hrs. / 12.00 hrs. / 13.00 hrs. / 14.00 hrs. / 16.00 hrs.

Departure from Santhiya: at 10.00 hrs. / 11.00 hrs. / 12.00 hrs. / 13.00 hrs. / 15.00 hrs. , (Subject to change without prior notice.) There are private speedboat transfer and private excursion trips, up to the maximum of 12 pax, available upon request. Please check the rate and further information with our reservation team.

Q. Where is Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa?

Santhiya Koh Yao Yai nestled in a tranquil cove on Koh Yao Yai’s tranquil west coast, just 20 minutes by speedboat from Phuket. Koh Yao Yai is situated in the Andaman Sea on the west side of Phuket island between the southern part of Thailand’s mainland and Phuket island. The resort is set within 38 acres of lush tropical grounds Santhiya is a unique hideaway offering high standards of service and accommodation unparalleled by other resorts on the Island. A 5-star property, Santhiya offers an accommodation in 39 villas. Q. Is the resort suitable for Honeymooner?

Yes, Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resorts and Spas is suitable for honeymooner. Our resort has a private atmosphere surround with beautiful beach and seafront. You can also choose to have a private candlelit romantic dinner with your other half. We have both Thai and Western wedding package. If you are looking for a romantic destination, Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa is the best choice for you to come and spend time together with your soul mate.

Q. Do you have a money changer at the resort? Or do we need to have our money’s change to baht before going there?

No, we don’t. Guests have to exchange currency to Thai baht before going to the Island.

Q. What activities do you offer at the resort?

At SaaiTara and Chantara restaurant, we have Live Music every day except on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, the contemporary song by her melodious voice, while guests are having dinner.

You can enjoy the resort’s ground and the natural way of life on Yao Yai Island by our complimentary bicycles, or you can choose to rent a motorcycle or a car to cover the whole Yao Yai Island.

At the same time, he will introduce you to a wide variety of interesting Thai ingredients and herbs that will surely add more spice to your life.

We offer a long list of Island explorations by sea and by car, which you can arrange on or before your arrival or upon your arrival.

Q. Do you have interconnected rooms/villas?

No, at the moment we don’t offer interconnected room/villa accommodations. Alternatively, we do have Santhiya Royal Grand Pool Villa Suite which offers 2 bedrooms this villa features 2 floors with more generous personal space and panoramic sea view.

Q. How far is the beach area or swimming pool from the rooms/villas?

The farthest would be only 100 meters. We provide 24 hours service of Santhiya wooden car which will take you to the beach or pool area anytime you want to go.

Q. What is the concept of Santhiya design as a resort & spa?

Santhiya’s core concept is to preserve the nature and environment and promote luxury eco-tourism. The resort provides first-class accommodations in traditional Thai architecture made from teak wood that blends harmoniously with nature and allows you to enjoy the natural beauty and atmosphere of the surrounding. While the resort provides our guest with modern facilities and have wifi throughout the resort, we kept most of the unused resort’s ground in the original luscious forest condition.

Q. What is the weather condition in Koh Yao Yai for most parts of the year?

The island has a beautiful warm weather throughout the year from January to December with some rain falls between June and November. In fact, on most days you will see sunshine. It is hot even when cloudy, and you can still get sunburn even if the sky is overcast.

Q. What do you suggest best for guests to wear when in Koh Yao Yai?

Light, loose cotton clothing is best. Nylon should be avoided. Sweaters are needed in the evenings during cool season or if visiting a mountainous area or national parks. Neat clothes best with sleeves and over the knee bottom are required for entering temples or sacred places around Koh Yao Yai and Phuket Island.
